University at Buffalo - Kapoor Hall Renovation
The University at Buffalo Kapoor Hall has been designed to obtain LEED Silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
The approximately 160,000 square foot facility, recently renamed in honor of alumnus John Kapoor '72, will be home to The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to be relocated from Cooke-Hochstetter Hall on North Campus. The building will provide a state-of-the-art Pharmaceutical Care and Teaching Center and establish a better link between the Academic Health Center and the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The design will incorporate many sustainable design features such as maximizing natural daylight, optimized energy performance, water efficient plumbing, recycled building materials, construction waste management and low emitting materials.
