The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Rehabilitate Elevators-Campus-Wide project at the State University of New York at Oswego. A campus-wide elevator study at Oswego was recently completed. The report indicated that many of the elevators are at the end of, or beyond, their anticipated life cycle. Some elevators have experienced significant reliability issues due to age and/or service and maintenance limitations. The report outlined a series of maintenance and replacement recommendations for all elevators throughout the campus. The Project is for the replacement of nine (9) elevators in seven academic buildings that were identified as the top priority in the elevator study report due to their age and reliability. The elevators are located in the following buildings: Convocation Center, Cooper Hall, Laker Hall, Lakeside Dining Hall, Park Hall, Poucher Hall and Rich Hall. The Project includes the modernization and rehabilitation of the elevator cab, controls, and machine room. All components of the elevator system including the cab, controls, hoistway, and pit will be designed to meet the current code requirements. Sprinkler protection and removal of hazardous materials, including potentially contaminated soil will be required. The Project shall meet current code and ADA requirements. Familiarity with all types of elevators is required.
