The State University Construction Fund (SUCF) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from consultants to provide design and construction administration services for the Rehabilitate Central Heating Plant – Hamilton Hall project at the State University of New York, College of Agriculture and Technology, Morrisville State College. Hamilton Hall (# 031), constructed in 1953 is a 40,251 GSF three-story building that serves as the campus' main heating plant. A study completed in December 2023 recommended steam boilers 1 & 2 be replaced with three flextube-type boilers. These boilers can be converted from steam to hydronic in the future to meet goals to eliminate fossil fuel equipment. The consultant shall confirm the recommendations of the study and explore other options. The Project will provide replacement of original, 59-year-old boilers in the Central Heating Plant and ancillary equipment. Investigation of the underground steam piping will be surveyed to determine the piping in poor condition which shall be replaced. The project includes removal of hazardous materials and upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements.
