Driving Directions to the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building

The directions provided are to the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building located at the intersection of State Street and Broadway in downtown Albany. There is no visitor parking in the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building garage. Public parking is available on Green Street and also on Columbia Street. Both of these public parking areas are within a short walking distance to the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building.

Coming from the:

  • NORTH - via Adirondack Northway (I-87) Southbound
    1. Exit Northway, I-87, at Exit 1 to Albany/Boston I-90 East.
    2. Take I-787 South to the first exit, Columbia Street/Colonie Street Exit, and continue along Water Street.
    3. Turn right onto Broadway, and the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building will be the second building on your right.
  • SOUTH - via NY State Thruway (I-87) Northbound
    1. Take Albany Exit 23 to I-787 North to Downtown Albany exit (US9 North-US 20 West), to exit for Broadway.
    2. Turn left at the traffic light.
    3. Continue through the next light bearing right onto Broadway.
    4. Continue on Broadway, and the H. Carl McCall SUNY Building will come up on your right.
  • SOUTH - via Taconic Parkway
    1. Use Exit B1 from the Mass Turnpike/NY State Thruway to 1-90 West.
    2. Exit at road sign, "787 Albany Troy Exit Only".
    3. Take 787 S Albany to Colonie St./Columbia St. Exit.
    4. Continue along Water Street, and take a right onto Broadway.
    5. The H. Carl McCall SUNY Building will be the second building on your right.
  • EAST - via I-90 Westbound
    1. Immediately after crossing the Hudson River, take the exit ramp for Junction I-787, Albany/Troy, staying to the left for Albany (I-787 South).
    2. Use the first exit ramp which is Columbia Street/Colonie Street and proceed along Water Street, the access road parallel to I-787.
    3. Continue along Water Street, and take a right onto Broadway.
    4. The H. Carl McCall SUNY Building will be the second building on your right.
  • WEST - via NY State Thruway (I-90) Eastbound
    1. Take the NY State Thruway to Exit 24, Northway I-87.
    2. Follow signs for I-90 East towards Boston/Albany to I-787 South, Rensselaer.
    3. Take I-787 South to the first exit, Columbia Street/Colonie Street Exit.
    4. Continue along Water Street, and take a right onto Broadway.
    5. The H. Carl McCall SUNY Building will be the second building on your right.
